Originally a farming community, Wilton Manors has blossomed into one of the most desired addressed in Broward County. Known as the island city because most of its roughly 2 square miles and 12k residents are bordered entirely by the middle river. Numerous parks and boat ramps, make enjoying this town easy to do. As one of the country’s leading LGBTQ communities, Wilton Manors is home to the Pride Center and continues to earn a perfect 100 score in the HRC’s Municipal Equality Index. Wilton Manors maintains a wonderful small town feel while remaining connected and with access to anything you could desire.
SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS: The annual Halloween & Stonewall Festivals are a must! Rent a Kayak or paddle board and enjoy the tremendous waterways around this city taking in the many parks and waterfront homes. The city’s annual Canoe race is always a good time, grab 10 team members for this relay around the Island City! Also check out Eucalyptus Gardens in Wilton Manors, a bunch of restaurants and markets tucked in the middle of the city, it’s a place you will not expect and make sure to try an iced coffee from the Alchemist, you will not regret it.
